Our Very First Market Report - Atlanta 2025

Our Very First Market Report - Atlanta 2025

Have you ever wondered what it'd be like to step into Santa's workshop? Well, I think I got the closest I'll ever get. We headed down to Atlanta for the Gift & Home Market for our very first time to explore the latest and greatest in the world of gifts and home decor.

Overstimulation

Try to picture 3 buildings, 18 floors each, with over 5000 vendors doing their very best to make their products stand out and grab your attention. From quirky cocktail napkins and interesting candlesticks to elegant home accents and decadent tablescapes, there was something to catch everyone's eye at all times. We got to smell luxurious candles, giggle at sassy stationery, and ooh & ahh at stylish home accessories. It was a sensory overload in the best possible way! I even asked my sister at one point if we should consider selling fountains because they were so beautifully displayed LOL. It was a visual feast for the eyes, and we were here for it.

Did Someone Say Trends?

Trends, trends, and more trends! We couldn't help but get swept up in the whirlwind of captivating styling and designs. Besides new items to bring to you, I was eager to see how world class brands come together with their individual ideas and forecasts and create what we call a "trend". Don't worry, millennial beige isn't going anywhere, but we did see some strong trends pop up throughout the weekend!

My Top 3 Gift and Decor Trends...

  • Indulgent Seafood.. Think oysters & caviar
  • Make 'shroom for Mushrooms
  • Fruits & Vegetables... Don't try to bite into that resin lemon or concrete avocado

My Top 3 Design Trends...

  • Use of unexpected and bold colors... This made me think... maybe we are starting to care less about trying to be "timeless"??
  • Block prints & Grandmillenial.. enough said
  • Incorporating nature through use of green and natural textures... Which as a florist who says green is a neutral, I'm here for it!

Honorable mention for the idea of romanticizing life... We saw so many "nice to haves" and "treat yourself" items that make everyday life feel a little more glamorous... I love that we're making things like storing fruit, water by your bedside, or lighting a candle just a bit more fun and interesting. Sure, someone could say "I don't need that" but life is hard- surround yourself with little things that bring you joy... and by the way, do you ever need that extra cocktail? Nah, but it's a whole lot of fun!

There are certainly trends, color schemes, and "vibes" I resonate with more than others, but I'll never yuck someone's yum! It was fun to see what was strongly carried through thousands of brands and product lines.

Until next time...

We left with hearts full after a great girls' weekend, hands full of catalogs and business cards, and minds full of new ideas. We are so excited to bring some of the Atlanta market back with us to our shop and incorporate the inspo in our work! See you next year, ATL! <3
